Military comrades David ‘Mitch’ Michaud, left, and Clarence Bouchard are both not only long-time residents of Caribou, they are also members of America’s “Greatest Generation,” — World War II Army veterans, who served in Europe. Michaud and Bouchard are also members of the original 111 World War II veterans who established the Lister/Knowlton VFW Post 9389  in Caribou, in May 1947, 64 years ago.  The two  continue to be actively involved with local veteran activities. Presently, there are only 10 of the original VFW members living.
