Forestry Field Day at the Park Farm
A Forestry Field Day will be held at Larry and Edith Park’s farm on Saturday, Aug. 20 from 8 a.m.-noon located at 32 Echo Lake Rd. in Presque Isle.
The field day will include woodlot tours, forestry demonstrations, door prizes and forestry professionals on hand to answer your woodlot questions. Demonstrations include solar lumber kiln, portable sawmill, portable skidder bridge construction and installation, among others.
Representatives from the Maine Forest Service, USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service, Sustainable Forestry Initiative, SWOAM, private foresters, and others to answer questions and discuss cost share assistance possibilities. Forester continuing education (pending) and CLP recertification credits available.
