GRAND JURY
The Aroostook County grand jury completed its third session of 2011 on July 8 and handed down 52 indictments against 49 individuals without any “no bills.”
Of particular note, 21 cases directly involve drugs and/or alcohol as the basis of the criminal charge. While not directly involving illicit drugs, substances, and/or or alcohol abuses, many of the remaining cases involve substance abuse or other drug-seeking behavior said District Attorney Todd Collins.
Among those indicted were:
• Rodney E. York, Jr., 36, Easton: operating after revocation.
• Gary F. Giggey, II, 44, Fort Fairfield: unlawful trafficking of scheduled drugs.
• Mayling Silva, 19, Caribou: unlawful trafficking of scheduled drugs and unlawful possession of scheduled drugs (two counts).
• Frederick Bonville, 48, Presque Isle: aggravated trafficking of scheduled drugs and unlawful furnishing of scheduled drugs.
• Ryan G. Helstrom, 26, Fort Fairfield: unlawful trafficking of scheduled drugs and unlawful possession of scheduled drugs.
• Debbie C. Devost, 33, Edmundston, N.B.: unlawful possession of scheduled drugs.
• James M. Gough, 33, Caribou: unlawful trafficking of scheduled drugs.
• Karyn L. Hemingway, 22, Blaine: stealing drugs.
• Henry C. Jolly, 29, Woodland: aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs.
• Sonya G. Giggey, 32, Fort Fairfield: unlawful trafficking of scheduled drugs.
• Sean J. McIntyre, 31, Presque Isle: unlawful trafficking of scheduled drugs and criminal forfeiture.
• Jeremy R. Trotter, 24, Easton: aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs.
• April R. Soucie, 26, Easton: unlawful trafficking of scheduled drugs.
• Peter J. Michaud, 49, Grand Isle: possession of firearm by prohibited person, fraudulently obtaining license/permit and unlawful possession of scheduled drugs.
• Landon L. Larsen, 30, Presque Isle: failing to report.
• Otis M. Henderson, 43, Houlton: OUI, failing to stop for law enforcement officer and operating after suspension.
• Ralph Boyington, 37, Houlton: burglary and assault.
• Ricky A. Grant, Jr., 29, Houlton: domestic violence with priors.
• Anthony Thorne, 48, Houlton: violating condition of release.
• Chester J. Scott, 21, Houlton: violating condition of release and theft.
• Marshall I. Benn, 31, Houlton: gross sexual assault and domestic violence assault.
• Chris P. Stevens, 37, Stacyville: possession of oxycodone.
• Kevin A. Murray, 35, Bridgewater: aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs.
• Joshua D. Turner, 25, Fort Fairfield: unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs.
• Amanda L. Trecartin, 26, Linneus: burglary; theft and forgery.
• Christopher R. Stevens, 23, Presque Isle: operating after revocation.
• Jirad B. Kinney, 33, Presque Isle: theft.
• Dyan M. Reeves, 34, Houlton: possession of scheduled drugs (two counts).
• Robert Dunham, 26, Biddeford: operating after revocation; and leaving the scene.
• Matthew J. Benn, 28, Bridgewater: operating after revocation; and violating condition of release.
• Jason L. Tapley, 28, Houlton: operating after revocation.
• Robert D. Nelson, 24, Orono: trafficking in scheduled drugs (two counts).
• Jennifer A. Beaulieu, 27, Hodgdon: theft; and operating after revocation.
• Chester J. Scott, 21, Houlton: theft; and violating condition of release.
• Erin Vincent, 23, Houlton: theft; and forgery.
• Daniel T. Maccabee, 50, Madison, Wis.: terrorizing; and assault (three counts).
