Parade-goers invited to UMPI campus

To the editor:

Please plan to join us at Gentile Hall before, during, or after the 22nd annual Holiday Light Parade on Saturday, Dec. 3, for warmth, fellowship and refreshments.  The parade ends at the University of Maine at Presque Isle and Gentile Hall makes a wonderful spot at which to gather before the parade (we will be open from 6 p.m. onwards), to spectate during the parade, and to warm up and meet friends afterwards, whether you are spectator or participant.  Last year we finished 800 cookies and lots of coffee and hot chocolate.  We’ve got more on order for this year.

One of the highlights of the Open House is the chance to show off some of the accomplishments and new programs at UMPI.  This year, posters will highlight the dedication of energy efficient Pullen Hall, an update on our wind turbine, the beginning of our Physical Therapist Assistant program, and our exciting collaborative program with BalanceBPO and TxVia corporations.

Check out what’s new at UMPI as you enjoy a Presque Isle tradition-the Holiday Light Parade.
