Caribou – Jeannette Marie (Corbin) Gagnon, 82, died February 21, 2012. She was born March 4, 1929, at Fort Kent, the daughter of the late Frank and Rose (Saucier) Corbin. Mrs. Gagnon attended Fort Kent Schools, was a lifelong member of the Parish of Precious Blood, Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Her lifelong job was taking care of people from an early age, helping her mom and dad with her siblings to becoming a wife and mother. Jeannette was a very special person who everybody loved, whether you had known her for years or just met her for the first time. She had an impact on you that you couldn’t help but love to admire. She married her teenage sweetheart, Dennis Gagnon Jr. on June 30, 1947. They were married for more than 63 years the love of her life who she adored.
Jeannette is survived by her four daughters and son-in-laws; Linda and Darrell Gagnon of Dover, Fla., Cynthia and Russell Wilcox of Caribou, Denise and Patrick McCormack of Woodland, Janet and Joseph Pignatiello of Wade; her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Frank (Iris) Gagnon of Benton; three sisters, Kay Clark of Tennessee, Renamay Edmonds of Connecticut, and Marilyn Smith of Texas; one brother, Steven Corbin of Florida; 17 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren. Mrs. Gagnon was predeceased by her husband Dennis Gagnon Jr., April 28, 2011; her two sons Dale D. Gagnon Sr. February 18, 2006, and Frank D. Gagnon Sr. April 27, 2007.
Friends called at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday. Funeral Services were held 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2012, at the Parish of Precious Blood, Holy Rosary Catholic Church with the V. Rev.
