make USCAA All-Academic Team

    PRESQUE ISLE — The United States Small College Athletic Association has announced the 2012 USCAA Non-Sport National All-Academic Team for the winter season of competition. Seven members from the University of Maine-Presque Isle Nordic Ski team appear on the list.

    From the women’s team are Carly Langley of Truro, Nova Scotia, Justine Cyr of Fort Kent,, Chelsea Beauchemin of Adams, Mass., Kati Christoffel of Clifton Park, N.Y and LeAnn Abbott of Sumner.

    From the men’s team are Justin Fereshetian of Turner and Richard Landry of Millvillage, Nova Scotia.

    The National All-Academic Award is designed to recognize all student-athletes who have an overall (cumulative) grade point average of 3.50 (on a 4.00 point system) or greater.

    The Non-Sport All-Academic Award is for those student athletes that participate at a member institution in a sport that is not recognized by the USCAA.
