The Aroostook County Action Program (ACAP) is currently recruiting children for the 2012-13 Early Head Start and Head Start Program year.

ACAP Head Start is a comprehensive early childhood education program which promotes child health, parent education and involvement, nutritious hot meals and special services as needed for children enrolled in the program.

Head Start is provided primarily for low-income and community eligible families, however all interested families are encouraged to apply, including families of children with disabilities.

Early Head Start and Head Start serves children birth to 4 years of age and pregnant women in both home-and center-based programs.

Bus transportation will be provided for the Early Head Start and Traditional Head Start program options if the child lives within the designated transportation route. If they do not live within the designated route, family service workers will assist families by providing resources that may help with transportation issues.
