Pitch, Hit and Run

Pitch, Hit and Run is a skills competition for boys and girls ages 7-14 and meets On May 12 at the Little League ball field in Caribou. Ages 7-10 compete at 9 a.m. and ages 11-14 compete at 10:30 a.m. Pre-registration is required with a registration deadline of May 11. Boys compete with boys and girls compete with girls in the same age groupings.

Bog Birding in Caribou

On Friday, May 4 at 8 a.m. join local bird aficionado Bill Sheehan and Parks and Recreation outdoor specialist Neal Sleeper for a glimpse of the wide array of birds around Caribou with a visit to a beautiful bog area along the Aroostook Valley Trail. Transportation will be available from the Recreation Center with limited seating. Participants are welcome to take their own vehicles. Bring binoculars if you like and dress appropriately with some good walking shoes. Pre-registration is required. Participants will be eligible to win a $10 gas card and have their names entered into a drawing for a new set of binoculars at the end of the month.

Mother Son Dance

The annual Mother Son Dance will be held on Friday May 11 from 7-9 p.m. at the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center. This year’s event will feature a tropical theme so come on down with your shorts and sandals and have a great time. Admission is $5 per couple.
