Caribou’s Teague Park Elementary School collected nearly $14,000 for the American Heart Association recently when students, staff, family and friends took part in the annual Jump Rope for Heart event. A lot of fun was mixed in with the hard physical work as the top six student fund-raisers got to “slime” one of the “celebrities” at their school. Taking her turn in the hot seat is Teague special education teacher Cathy Kelly while student Lucas Tompkins launches a bucket of slime with the help of, from left, Kim Austin, school psychologist; Helston Jackson, custodian/bus driver; and Steve Austin, phys ed teacher and event organizer.
