Lamb is the perfect way to break away from the same-old dinner routine, and Sunrise Farm owners Phil and Jackie Doak have a few beginner recipes to help even an apprehensive chef expertly cook lamb.
As cooking times for any meat varies depends on the cut and the thickness, the Doaks can offer cooking advice based on the customer’s purchase. That’s why they keep recipes on hand for customers to take home with their purchase.
“[The recipes] give them somewhere to start, and then they can tweak it to how they like it,” she said.
As the famed rack of lamb can be a bit much for a beginner, Jackie recommends starting with either lamb chops or a lamb stew — both beginner-friendly recipes.
