Micah Swallow of Houlton has been awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the Maine Society of Land Surveyors. The scholarship was presented to Swallow by John Lloyd of the MSLS Scholarship Committee. A 2007 graduate of Houlton High School, Swallow has been attending the White Mountain Community College in Berlin, N.H. pursuing a degree in spatial information technology surveying. He is the son of Kilburn and Abbie Swallow of Houlton. Kilburn Swallow is the owner of Swallow Associates, a professional land surveying firm based in Houlton.
