Volunteers estimated that Frances is about 5 months old or a little younger. She will have all her medical treatments and will be ready for adoption about June 1. Volunteers say that she is very clean, friendly and loving. “She was abandoned on the streets of Caribou and would like a more responsible and loving home environment,” HHPR President Norma Milton explained. Frances’ adoption fee is $40. Currently, HHPR has five semi-feral barn cats available for adoption — for free. “These cats are spayed/neutered and have all other medical tasks completed,” Milton explained, “they make excellent mousers to protect your farm. Adoptions requirements are only that the farmer feed and water the cat once each day.” HHPR is a 501c3 non-profit and a 2012 Maine State Licensed Pet Rescue. Their mailing address is PO Box 488, Caribou, Maine 04736 and their web site is www.halfwayhomepetrescue.org
