PT Rodney Morgan    STACYVILLE – Rodney Frank Morgan, 90, died June 12, 2012, at his family home, where he was born Jan. 7, 1922, the son of Raymond and Laurel (Speed) Morgan.
    Rodney attended elementary school in Stacyville and also attended Ricker Classical Institute. He farmed in Island Falls and Stacyville. He retired from Great Northern Paper after 25 years. He married Norma Lane in 1956. Rodney was fortunate to live his whole life in the house he was born in. He was a selectman and in the legislature, piloted his own plane, loved and raised horses and taught many children to ride, and was a great historian.
    He is survived by his son, Philip Sherman and his wife, Judy, of Patten; sister, Muriel Hughes of Stacyville; grandsons, Wendel Sherman, Steve, Randy and Ron Hunt; grand-daughter, Michelle Sherman; nephew, John A. Verville II; nieces, Maria H. Stoll, Charmaine E. Syx and Melody A. Hughes; great-nephew, Neil M. Syx; and loyal, dear friends, Bonita Staples and Murray Cassidy. He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Norma; a daughter, Camilla Hunt; a brother, Ben Tracy; and his twin brother, Robert U. Morgan.
