FOREN, Claude A., 84, EASTON & HAINES CITY, FL, September 10, 2012. A celebration of his life will be held at 12 p.m., Saturday, September 29, Easton.

EASTON & HAINES CITY, FL American Flag ColorClaude A. Foren, 84, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away at home peacefully with his family by his side on September 10, 2012. He was born May 11, 1928, in Bath, N.B., Canada, the son of Ashby A. and Nellie M. (Kinney) Foren.
    Claude grew up in Easton and graduated from Easton High School in 1946. He attended the Normal School in Presque Isle before entering the United States Army where he served his country in Germany during the Korean War. Upon his return, he worked with his father farming in the potato industry and in 1956, married his beloved wife, Shirley (Miller) Foren. In 1970, he became a part time Aroostook County Deputy Sheriff and in 1972, joined the Postal Service as a Rural Mail Carrier for the next 30 years.
    Since his retirement in 1990, he and Shirley made their winter home in Haines City, Florida. Claude attended the United Baptist Church in Easton, and later attended the New Horizon Methodist Church in Davenport, Florida. He was a member of the American Legion Patti Page Post 187 in Easton and the Frierson-Nichols Post 8 in Winter Haven, Florida. For 55 years, he was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Eastern Frontier Lodge #112 A.F. & A.M. in Fort Fairfield and the Trinity Lodge #130 A.F. & A.M. in Presque Isle. Claude was affiliated with the Anah Shrine Temple in Bangor as well.
    Throughout his life, Claude had many great adventures with his family and friends. Recollections of Claude snowmobiling, boating, flying his airplanes, traveling in his motor homes, and spending his summers at camp on East Grand Lake will be kept alive as treasured memories forever.
    Claude is survived by his loving and devoted wife Shirley of 55 years of Haines City, Florida; his loving and caring daughters and their families, Susan and husband, Lance Lamoreau of Bangor, and Lynda and her husband, Hugh Turner of Easton; four special grandsons, Jordan, Aaron, Holden and Hunter; brother-in-laws, C. Kempton Adams of Easton, Ronald Miller and wife, Evelyn of Ft. Myers, Florida; nieces and nephews with a special niece, Paula (Bradley) Shaw of Mapleton; and many life long friends.
    In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Mona G. Adams; and sister-in-law, Marjorie A. Bradley.
    A celebration of Claude’s life will be held for family at 12 p.m. with Pastor Otto Palmer officiating, Saturday, September 29, 2012, at the home of Lynda and Hugh Turner, Easton. Another service in Claude’s memory will be held in Haines City, Florida, February, 2013.
