Chris Murphy, left, president of the Crown of Maine Quilters of Presque Isle and Caribou, recently presented the 2012 raffle quilt “Starry Holiday” to lucky winner Paula Weinstein of Presque Isle. Members of the group pieced star blocks for the quilt and matching pillows. A pillowcase for storage was also part of the prize. Proceeds from the raffle are used for chapter expenses, education of members, New Year’s baby quilts and other charitable causes.
