Presque Isle Girl Scout Troop 1213

GIRL SCOUT TROOP 1213 from Presque Isle recently donated some shoes to the Halfway Home Pet Rescue in Caribou. The Pet Rescue receives $20 for every 40 lbs. of shoes they donate to the ShoeBox Recycling Program. The money they receive from the program helps pay for medical care for the animals and the shoes go to people in need all over the world. Local Girl Scouts participating were, in front from left, Piper Galipeau, Olivia Goodine and Alivia Smart. Back row, Sierra Galipeau, Sophie Lee, Emily Bemis, Zoe Plummer, Alyssa Smart and Emma Smart. Absent when photo was taken were Maddie Jackson and Haley Cormier. The troop is led by Leslie Smart and Julie Plummer.
