MMG promotes Gowen
PRESQUE ISLE — Officials with MMG Insurance Co. have announced the promotion of Hollie Gowen to commercial lines lead underwriter.
Hollie Gowen began her career with the Presque Isle-based property and casualty insurance company as a commercial lines associate underwriter in 2011.
She earned a bachelor of arts degree in journalism from the University of Maine and a master of arts degree in journalism from Northeastern University. Gowen is a 2012 graduate of the Young Professionals Institute, and she is currently enrolled in the Chartered Property/Casualty Underwriter Insurance Institute of America designation program.
Gowen serves as vice president of the board of directors for the Central Aroostook Humane Society and founded the “Friends of Central Aroostook Humane Society,” which is a volunteer auxiliary group with approximately 70 members. She is also a member of Momentum Aroostook and helped to coordinate the “Toast for the Animals” event. This event, co-sponsored by the Central Aroostook Humane Society and Momentum Aroostook, was the largest fundraiser held for the humane society in 2012.
She and her husband, Brad Wolverton, reside in Presque Isle, with their son, Chase.
