PRESQUE ISLE American Flag ColorRobert J. McIntosh, 70, passed away unexpectedly Monday, April 22, 2013, at his residence. He was born on July 10, 1942, in Presque Isle, the son of Robert and Vera B. (Jones) McIntosh.
    Robert “Jimmy” served in the U.S. Army as a cook on a tug boat in Newfoundland. He worked as a poly operator at McCain Foods for a number of years. “Jimmy” enjoyed sports including high school basketball, loved to work in his garden and cook.
    He is survived by two brothers, Donald McIntosh of Presque Isle, and Alan MacIntosh and his wife, Rosa of Westfield; two sisters, Jean St. Peter of Caribou and Margaret “Peggy” McIntosh of Presque Isle; several nieces and nephews, several great- nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Virginia (Elliot) McIntosh; and a brother, Roger McIntosh.
    Graveside services were held 1 p.m., Monday, April 29, 2013, at Fairmount Cemetery with Pastor Lawrence Beals officiating. Online condolences may be expressed at www.duncan-graves.com.
