SARASOTA, FL. – Frank Emerson, 90, of Sarasota, FL., died at home with his companion of 37 years, Margaret Newsom, on August 26, 2013.
He is survived by his son Efrem; grandson, Mathew; sister, Pat; and Margaret’s children, Ben and Becky. He was born in Island Falls, Maine, graduated from Bowdoin College, and worked in the Maine Forest Service and as a dairy farmer. He served in the Army Air Force in WWII. In recent years he took great joy in ballroom dancing with Margaret.
