At St. Mary’s Saturday, September 7, special prayers were said for peace in Syria. Try to keep this intention in mind, as we do not war again. Thank you.
We miss Norma Bates. She is at Madigan now. Lavina Byron, her sister, especially misses Norma. Norma, we wish you well in your environment. We also must mention Florence McDonald is also at Madigan. Both of these ladies are missed.
If you see Dorothy Campbell, say ‘’hi’’ to her. She hasn’t been seen here in a bit and is also missed. A little rain this morning, as these words are being written. Nothing to be concerned about.
The local dairy bar is closing soon for the season. There is still time to enjoy some ice cream as the final day is Sept. 29.
Sylvia Thompson’s son Bob and granddaughter Molly Thompson of Drexel Hill, Pa.; son David of Winterport; and daughter Leanne of Brewer were here a week ago Saturday to visit and celebrate Donnie’s (Thompson) 78th birthday. Donnie is a patient at Madigan Estates.
Life is full of moments that only you and your angel share. From Luke 14 25-27; Great crowds were traveling with Jesus, and He turned and addressed them, “If anyone comes to me without hating his father, mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple, whoever does not carry his own cross and come after me cannot be my disciple.’’
Have a wonderful week, with good health and joy.
