Take Off Pounds Sensibly Chapter 0233 of Houlton met at the Aldergate building on High Street Friday, Nov. 1 for its weekly meeting. Leader Diane Folsom was in charge.
Treasurer Charlotte Marley and secretary Cheryl Driscoll gave reports. Loser of the week was Millie Gagnon with Barbara Whited and Marsha Reed as runners-up. Kay Grass won the 50/50 drawing. Heleana Nickerson, dietitian at Houlton Regional Hospital, was the principal speaker. She had several handouts but her focus was on losing weight. A question and answer period followed.
Plans were made for the group to go to Washburn for a Christmas party Nov. 9. Cards were signed for: Janette Nelson, sympathy in the loss of her beloved husband; for Margaret Hagerman, get well.
