Residents of  the Maine Veterans Home in Caribou received over 220 pairs of socks on Nov. 8, courtesy of area teachers. Members of the Eastern Aroostook Education Association pitched in to make sure there were all sorts of socks in different shapes and materials for the Veterans Home residents to select. Shown here are, from left, front row, Max Johnston of Presque Isle, who served in the Navy during World War II; and Herbert Beaulieu of Ashland who served in the Army during WW II. In back, at left, is President of the EAEA Ryan Drost and Treasurer of the EAEA Kenneth Atcheson.
