The Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office welcomed Deputy Sheriff Peter Johnson, at right, to its ranks Jan 4. Johnson has a bachelor’s degree in behavioral science from the University of Maine and 10 years of experience in the social services field. Deputy Johnson joined the Presque Isle Police Department as a patrol officer in 2008 and most recently completed an 18-month assignment with the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency (MDEA). Johnson lives in Caribou, with his wife April, and will be patrolling the northern third of Aroostook County.
