Ricker Rumblings

Hello everyone! Hope you all are as well as I am. At least I think I am healthy and praise God for that. It is now April and April showers bring May flowers! How simple is that popular saying? I had a nice potluck gathering on Monday of last. It was a small gathering but nice and the food, always good. We trust we will have another soon.

Jeannie Hall has been a patient at Houlton Regional Hospital, but is better now and home. Robin Chambers, next door, has been away visiting in Old Orchard but is home now. She had a nice visit. Christoper Polk of Calais with his wife and baby were visiting his aunt, Lois Downing, on Monday. They had dinner at Linneus and enjoyed the day.
Mike Tuttle had been visiting in Florida, but is home now and on the “go.” What a wind outdoors this morning — the flag is flying high. At least we do not have any fresh snow. And that has been the case for a couple of days now. Good for us.
It is been a long hard winter for many. I hope everybody was able to keep warm and have enough to eat. Holy Week will be observed in many churches soon and then the glorious Easter Sunday. May yours be as blessed as can be.
A friend reminded me that she needed to see the angels in print once again so here it is. “Some angels wear wings of silken white and golden robes so grand. Some walk the earth in blue jeans and lend a helping hand.”
I visited Madigan nursing home facility this past week. Donna Burns, Helen Brewer, and Norma Bates were some of the ladies she visited. Evelyn Callnan and Ken Thibodeau were not “at home.” So, I missed seeing them. God bless all our readers and have a wonderful week, full of love and joy.
