MARS HILL — A local man has been arrested, following an armed robbery at a Mars Hill business last week.
“On the evening of April 2, the Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Mars Hill One Stop at the intersection of U.S. Route 1 and Route 1A. As a result of the investigation, 26-year-old Ralph Levesque Jr. was arrested for an outstanding warrant and charged with armed robbery and violation of condition of release,” said Darrell Crandall, chief deputy sheriff with the Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office.
Levesque was also charged with theft, which, according to Crandall, occurred at the Mars Hill Circle K earlier that same day.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Maine State Police and U.S. Border Patrol.
The weapon believed used in the crime, which authorities aren’t identifying at this time, has yet to be recovered. No court date for Levesque was available at presstime.
