Concerned about Ludlow

To the editor:

I went to [the] selectmen’s meeting Aug. 13. I know now why Ludlow folks don’t go to the town meeting. It’s just a waste of time. Ludlow taxpayers don’t mean anything anymore, I guess.

We need to be supporting our local animal shelter, not letting our animals go to the Presque Isle shelter. Support our own.

I don’t know where honesty went. At the town office they tell us what they think we’ll eat. It’s one way or the highway — not good.

Ludlow is going down in a handbasket if something isn’t done soon.

Please, everybody, come to the town meeting, Thursday, Sept. 10, 6:30 p.m. Let’s stand up for the animals. Keep them in [the] Houlton Animal Shelter, not Presque Isle. There is bullying on the playground. Let’s all not just sit back and do nothing about it.

Aug. 19 I was surprised to learn there are only 13-16 folks in Ludlow. That’s all there were at the July 27 meeting that was called [in] the community. Over half of the folks in Ludlow didn’t know about the meeting. Just posted [at the] Ludlow town office, not in Pioneer Times.

Folks, let’s all stand together. Get our town where it used to be. Let’s have a full house Sept. 10, 6:30 p.m. Keep our animals here, not Presque Isle shelter. Support our own. Grass on side is not being cut that we taxpayers pay for.

Lately, not been told truth. A person isn’t any better than their words if they don’t stand behind what they say.

Thank you all. Just my opinion; Ludlow taxpayer for 49 years.
