Viking Run draws another huge crowd of young racers

     CARIBOU, Maine — One hundred and sixty-three boys and girls competed in this year’s Aroostook Federal Savings and Loan Viking Run, a running event for youth which was held on Labor Day, Sept. 7, 2015 at the high school track.

     The top three in each division are as follows:

     Pre-K and kindergarten quarter mile: boys, first, Ben Waugh, 1:54; second, Finn Mosher, 2:02; and third, Tristen Merchant, 2:10; girls, first, Breanna Royer, 1:53; second, Molly Williams, 1:53; and third, Emma Graves, 2:02.

     Grades 1-2 half mile: boys, first, Emerson McNeally, 3:42; second, Landon Willette, 3:45; and third, Colby Ouellette, 3:55; girls, first, Reese Doucette, 4:18; second, Mollie Crane, 4:36; and third, Reagan Bernard, 4:38.

     Grades 3-4 half mile: boys, first, Mason St. Peter, 3:04; second, Isaac Staples, 3:05; and third, Camden Pelletier, 3:14; girls, first, Teanne Ewings, 3:16; Madelyn Deprey, 3:45; and Claire Ouellette, 3:54.

     Grades 5-6 mile: boys, first, Carter Pelletier, 6:17; second, Ari Plante, 6:23; and third, Alden Wilcox, 6:30; girls, first, Annalise Jandreau, 7:13; second, Kayley Bell, 7:30; and third, Marienna St. Peter, 7:40.

     Grades 7-8 mile: boys, first, Jacob Berkoski, 5:52; second, Ethan Holdsworth, 5:57; and third, Carter Quist, 6:04; girls, Teagan Ewings, 6:18; second, Emma Stewart, 10:05; and third, Heather DeMerchant, 10:51.
