Those whose household income was less than $54,000 in 2015 may qualify for free tax preparation assistance, according to the Aroostook CA$H Coalition.

The coalition members — United Way of Aroostook, New Ventures Maine, the University of Maine at Presque Isle, Key Bank, community members, and the Internal Revenue Service — will sponsor tax help at various locations.
In Presque Isle, volunteers will be at the UMPI Campus Center, 181 Main St., from Feb. 2-April 14, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2-6 p.m.
In Fort Kent, a virtual site will be open at the University of Maine at Fort Kent’s Blake Library. There will be a volunteer on site Feb. 11 and 25 and March 10 and 24, from 12-4 p.m.
And in Houlton, tax help will be offered at the Houlton Higher Education Center, 18 Military St., on these Saturdays: Feb. 27, March 19 and April 2.
