There will be an alumni basketball game held at Easton High School on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2016. The girls will play at 5:30 p.m. and the boys at 7 p.m.
The cost of admission is $2 for students and $4 for adults. All proceeds will be donated to the family of Paige Lento. For more information or if interested in participating, please email Samantha Buck at samantha.l.buck@maine.edu.
Vacation activities
The following is a list of activities offered through the Easton Recreation Department during the upcoming winter break.
Wednesday, Dec. 28: Snow Tubing at Big Rock (weather permitting) We will head to Mars Hill for an afternoon of sliding. The cost is $10 for tubing, pizza and soda. Please be sure your child is dressed appropriately for conditions. It’s going to be a long afternoon if cold or wet! Concessions will be available for purchase. Departing at 12:40 p.m. and returning at 4:15 p.m.
Thursday, Dec. 29: House of Bounce and Pizza Hut. First jumping and climbing and then a buffet lunch at Pizza Hut in Presque Isle. The fee is $15. Please be sure your child is wearing socks! Bus departs at 9:35 a.m. and returns at 1:15 p.m.
Friday, Dec. 30: Movie at the Caribou Theatres. The cost will be $6 for ticket, popcorn and soda. Concessions will be available for purchase. Bus departs at 9:10 a.m. and returns by 12:15 p.m.
Community library hours
The community library will be closed on Saturday, Dec. 31, but will remain open over vacation on Wednesday, Dec. 28 from 3-4:30 p.m. Their regular schedule will resume Jan. 3. All afterschool activities will now be held at the elementary school.
Happy Days Club update
The next meeting will be a potluck lunch at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 12 in the recreation room at the Manor. They will be nominating/electing officers for 2017. Please plan to join them and bring a friend!
