Theriault wrestles to first place for Fort Kent Warriors

CARIBOU, Maine — Wrestlers on Fort Kent’s newly revived Community High School team did well, Saturday, Jan. 7 at a regional tournament held at Caribou High School.

Fort Kent’s Trevor Theriault, competing in the 195-pound class, defeated Bangor High School’s P.C. Greer to take first place and the highest finish on the day for the Warriors.

Wrestling in the 145-pound class, Reece Pelletier of Fort Kent defeated Mattanawcook’s Zach Leet to earn a third-place finish. Pelletier’s teammate, Ian Dubois, competing in the 160-pound group, also earned third-place spot, defeating George Townsend of Calais.

Competing in the lightest, 106-pound weight class, Fort Kent’s Lance Daigle took down Woodland’s Ashton Hayman to take third place.

Rylee Theriault, one of two girls wrestling for Fort Kent, fell to Dominic Libby of Mattanawcook, and took fourth place in the 138-pound class.
