Viking players among conference basketball stat leaders

The Big East Conference has released its statistical leaders for the 2016-17 season and a few Caribou Viking basketball players were at near the top in several categories.

On the girls’ side, senior forward Rachel Soucy was tied for first in free throw percentage at 80 percent.

Junior forward Gabrielle Marquis was fifth in scoring at 14.5 points per game, fifth in assists at 2.9 per game and 10th in rebounds at 6.3 per game.

Senior guard Madison Doucette was 10th in assists at 2.5 per game and freshman center Paige Espling was fifth in rebounds at 7.9 per game.

For boys, freshman forward Parker Deprey was sixth in free throw percentage at 73.9.
