PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — The fifth annual Aroostook House of Comfort Charity Golf Classic will be held Saturday, June 17, at Presque Isle Country Club, with proceeds going toward the construction and operation of a palliative and hospice care home.

The House of Comfort will be located at the existing MBNA property on 18 Green Hill Drive. The existing building is under renovation and a new 2,300-square-foot addition under construction, but funds are still being raised to complete the project.

The tournament is a four-person scramble that will kick off with a 9 a.m. shotgun start. Registration is from 7:30-8:30 a.m. An awards and recognition ceremony will be held in the PICC restaurant immediately following the tourney, which is being partially underwritten by platinum sponsor Whited-Peterbilt.

A raffle and many door prizes will be offered. The cost is $60 per person, to include a light breakfast, soda and hot dogs on the course, refreshments after the round and a Titleist golf ball. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three men’s teams for both gross and net scores.

There also will be a mixed team division offered and the cash prize will depend on the number of teams entered. Longest drive and closest to pin contests will be held and there will be a $20,000 cash prize for the first hole-in-one on hole No. 8, sponsored by North State Transportation, LLC.
