Sale benefits Easton’s Little School

The Easton Little School on the Station Road in Easton will host a garage and food sale Thursday, Friday and Saturday, June 15, 16 and 17, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.

Food items will be priced and garage sale items will be by donation. On Saturday, home-baked beans, potato salad and rolls will be available.  

Proceeds will benefit the Little School’s restoration project.

Gauvin Scholar

Easton is the home of one of the newest Aroostook Aspirations Initiative Gauvin Scholars. Zachary Hammond, a graduating senior at Easton High School, was named a 2017 Gauvin Scholar.

He will attend Northern Maine Community College in Presque Isle, where he will major in automotive technology. Easton congratulates Zachary.

Community Library

On Saturdays the Community Library will be held at the Easton High School Library and will feature a story time from 10 to 10:30 a.m., geared for toddlers/pre-K to grade 3; children under 5 must be accompanied by an adult.  The story time will include a picture book with an activity/color page to follow.

The library will be open to the community for patrons to utilize library services; book loans, use of periodicals and reference materials, Internet and computer access. Patrons may bring their own devices to access the Internet and will be asked to follow existing library rules/guidelines.   

This week’s dates include Wednesday, June 14, at the Elementary School and Saturday, June 17, at the High School.
