PATTEN, Maine — Police, who have been investigating a series of burglaries, thefts and criminal mischief in the Patten area over the past few months, arrested two adults and one male juvenile on several warrants Wednesday afternoon.
Lacey K. Brackett, 24, of Sherman and Nicholas A. Champagne, 25, of Patten were arrested on outstanding warrants, according to Penobscot County Sheriff Troy Morton. The name and age of the male juvenile arrested was not provided by police.
The arrests were made in connection with an ongoing joint investigation by the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office, Maine State Police and Maine Warden Service.
“Unfortunately, there are still several cases under investigation and we cannot discuss them in detail,” Morton said. “Because of the numerous complaints in the region, we felt it would be important to release what we can.”
Morton said the adults were arrested on active warrants not directly related to these incidents, but additional charges are expected to be filed.
He said the joint investigation and assistance from the public were instrumental in helping to resolve the cases.
