PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — The Penobscot Boys and Girls Club, which runs the local Presque Isle Boys and Girls Club, is planning their 12th annual Christmas in July Gala Friday, July 7, 2017, at the University of Maine at Presque Isle’s Campus Center.
The club will use proceeds from the event to expand services and programs for children of the Presque Isle, Houlton and Perry Boys & Girls Clubs, including the surrounding towns in Maine.
Since the 1990s all Native clubs in Maine have been providing a positive place for youth, of both Native and non-Native ancestry.
The Penobscot Boys and Girls Club is a non-profit organization who acts as the umbrella organization for the rest of the clubs in Maine. Its mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens.
