CARIBOU, Maine — Pines Health Services announced June 30 that St. John Valley native Alli Guerrette, FNP-C, has joined Van Buren’s St. John Valley Health Center as a family nurse practitioner.

“Pines is extremely pleased to have St. John Valley resident Alli Guerrette join our team of providers,” said Pines CEO Jim Davis.  “Alli brings several years of registered nursing experience to her new role, and was previously part of the Pines nursing team for five years. In addition to her clinical experience, as a lifelong resident of the St. John Valley, she brings a unique knowledge of the community and its residents.”

Guerrette completed four years of nursing school at the University of Maine at Fort Kent, her MSN-FNP program at St. Joseph’s College, and has been certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.  In her new role as a family nurse practitioner, she looks forward to working with members of the St. John Valley communities, and brings with her a special passion for treating seniors.

With the addition of Guerrette, the St. John Valley Health Center includes a team of four Pines providers who care for patients of all ages. Other members of the team include Rohit Gautam, M.D., Samuela Manages, M.D. and Julie Raymond, FNP-C.

Family nurse practitioners are advanced practice registered nurses with specialized educational and clinical training in family practice who serve as primary healthcare providers either autonomously or in conjunction with physicians. Family nurse practitioners work with patients throughout their lives, diagnosing illness, conducting exams, and prescribing medication.

In her spare time Guerrette enjoys quilting, partaking in various outdoor activities available in the four seasons of The County and, most importantly, spending quality time with her family and friends. Alli and her husband live in the St. John Valley with their “fur baby,” Mittens.
