BRIDGEWATER, Maine — A three-day, Christian faith-based emotional healing conference for women, with an optional residential component, is planned Labor Day weekend, Friday, Sept. 1, to Sunday, Sept. 3, at the Whited Bible Camp in Bridgewater.

The Healing Waters 2017 “The Father’s Love” Women’s Conference is directed towards the healing of deep emotional wounds caused by a variety of circumstances, which may include past physical, emotional and sexual abuse/trauma as well as hurt from past abortion(s).

Diane Cranley from Orange County, Calif., will be the keynote speaker. She is the founder and president of TAALK (Talk About Abuse to Liberate Kids) and author of “8 Ways To Create their Fate: Protecting the Sexual Innocence in Youth Serving Organizations.” Cranley has been running support groups for adult survivors of child sexual abuse and parents of abused kids for 10 years.

Angel Murchison, Healing Waters founder and conference coordinator, said LaNiece Sirois of Fort Fairfield, a County girl at heart, will be a seminar speaker at the conference. “LaNiece celebrates the healing of women through her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  Through the breaking of soul ties, many have found freedom and can walk in liberty like never before,” she said.

Murchison will also speak. She knows firsthand the aftermath of an abortion and will share her journey to freedom from the shame and guilt experienced from her past abortion.  She is a speaker, writer and talk show host of “Destiny Moments,” her weekly radio broadcast.

Donna Rossignol Roy, who began leading worship in the early 1970s, will lead music for the conference. According to Murchison, Roy delights in praise and enjoys leading others into a spiritual place through music.

“Last year’s conference comments included ‘I will never be the same,’ ‘So worth the nine-hour drive,’ ‘best weekend of my life’ and ‘life changing,’ to name a few,” said Murchison.

There will also be a bookstand, one-on-one ministry, an art/craft session and live music.

The price is $10 to attend for one day, $20 for two days and $30 for all three days. Accommodation and meals are available on the premises for an additional $25 for both. Scholarships are available for those with a financial need.
