RAYMOND E. IVEY, HOULTON – Raymond E. Ivey, 91, passed away peacefully at home, Thursday, August 17, 2017, while surrounded by his family. He was born January 11, 1926, in Littleton, the son of Amos and Cathryn (Stockford) Ivey. Raymond served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and returned home where he farmed for many years. He is survived by five children, Ted Ivey of Ludlow, Joyce Ivey of White Bluff, TN, Bruce Ivey and his wife Shirley of White Bluff, TN, Cathy Russell of Cromwell, CT, Susan Thompson and her husband Gary of Ludlow, sixteen grandchildren, and twenty one great grandchildren. He also leaves behind a brother Richard Ivey and his wife Imogene of Ludlow, Four sisters-in-laws, Lillian Ivey of Portland OR, Evelyn Ivey of Shalimar, FL, Betty Ivey of Houlton, Joyce Shaw of Littleton; A brother and Sister-in-law, Jim Crawford and wife Betty of Houlton, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Glenna (Crawford) Ivey in 2008, three brothers, Asbury Ivey, Philip Ivey, and Floyd Ivey, and a Brother-in-law Hartley Shaw. Friends may call 10am Saturday August 19, 2017 at the Dunn Funeral Home. A procession will leave the funeral home at 11am and proceed to Littleton Cemetery where a time of committal with military honors will take place. The family would also like to thank the nurses who helped make this time easier for the family.
