Former Hodgdon man pleads guilty to possessing child pornography

BANGOR, Maine — Anthonio Dicentes, 37, formerly of Hodgdon and recently of Florida, pleaded guilty Friday in U.S. District Court to possessing child pornography, according to U.S. Attorney Richard W. Murphy.

Court records indicate that between about June 2009 and September 2015, Dicentes possessed image files depicting child pornography. Dicentes sought out and downloaded from the internet at least one of those files, which depicted a child under the age of 12.

Dicentes faces up to 20 years in prison, a $250,000 fine and between five years and a lifetime of supervised release, according to Murphy.  He will be sentenced after the completion of a presentence investigation report by the U.S. Probation Office.

The investigation was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Maine State Police.
