MARS HILL, Mars Hill – Edward Keith McGraw, 82, passed away November 2, 2017, in Mars Hill. He was born June 14, 1935, in Dyer Brook, the son of Irwin and Hannah (Gerrish) McGraw of Island Falls.
Ed was an Army veteran, serving two tours in Korea. He believed in volunteering in his community, donating his time with the Mars Hill Fire Department, Anah Shriners, Mars Hill Masonic Lodge #1440, Central Aroostook Snowmobile Club, the senior bowling group, the Mars Hill Planning Board, and Horizons Health Services. Ed also volunteered on the TAMAC Board of Directors from 1988 – 2000 and TAMAC Business Group Board of Directors from 1998 – 2005. He was an active member of the United Methodist Church of Mars Hill, the Mars Hill Country Club, and the Aroostook Valley Seniors. For 32 years Ed worked at Maine Public Service Company.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy (Pendleton) McGraw; daughters, Deborah Nevitt and her husband, Dan of Virginia Beach, VA, Lisa McGraw and Dave Sweeney of Kempton, PA, Rebekah McGraw of Mars Hill; five grandchildren, Jessie Moore of Mars Hill, Hannah and James Undercuffler of Kempton, PA, Justin Lenentine and his wife, Victoria, Joshua Lenentine and Katarina Luinetti of Virginia Beach, VA; great-grandson, Joshua Nicholson of Virginia Beach, VA. He was predeceased by his parents and brother, Gary McGraw.
Graveside funeral services will be held 1 p.m. on November 11, 2017, at the Island Falls Cemetery, Sherman Street, Island Falls, with Rev. Sue Brown officiating.
