VNA plans seminar on grieving during holidays

PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — In spite of what most people say, everyone does not look forward to the holiday season. Those who are grieving the loss of a loved one may dread the holidays, as they can magnify the feelings of loss of a loved one.

On Wednesday, December 6, VNA Home Health Hospice will hold a free seminar, “Grief and the Holidays,” from 6-7:30 p.m. at the VNA conference room, 18 Green Hill Drive in Presque Isle.

Presenters will be Margaret Casey, licensed social worker, and George McLaughlin, bereavement coordinator, both with Hospice of Aroostook. The seminar will explore triggers of grief and provide tools to help people as they prepare for the holidays.

For information, call McLaughlin at 764-9413.
