PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — The Broadway Kids Theater will present “Kooky Christmas” by Brian Daly for its second run this weekend at the Aroostook Centre Mall in Presque Isle.

The Christmas musical is a story of the Wassail family’s special Christmas Eve and Christmas morning experience a few years ago. The play premiered last weekend, and the last three performances are this Friday, Dec. 8, at 7 p.m., and Saturday, Dec. 9, at 2 and 7 p.m.

The musical opens with a young Santa, played by Keith Clark, introducing the Wassail family.  Mom Wassail (Amanda Robinson) and Dad Wassail (Leroy Gardiner) are preparing for Christmas.  Dad is a handyman and inventor who has built a very special family gift that has all the family guessing.

Meanwhile the three wassail children, Noelle played by Lauren Dugal, Yul played by Wyatt Henderson and Baby Rudolph played by Brian Wood, are involved in holiday activities.

There are twelve 12 favorite songs with three new songs written by Daly. Later in the show, the audience learns the magical duties of the angel on top of the Christmas tree and how she and Santa work together.

The show is directed by Dari Faye with the support of her production team:  ensemble choreographer Emily Sjoberg, Wassail Family choreographer Kailee Cox, set designer Keith Clark and light/sound technician Eric Gustin.
