FLOYD L. REED SR., HOULTON – Floyd L. Reed Sr., 86, died Tuesday December 12, 2017, at Madigan Estates Nursing Home. He was born July 27, 1931, Huntington, IN, the son of Dale and Grace (Prough) Reed. He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1951. Floyd was stationed at Loring Air Force Base, where he met the love of his life Elizabeth “Sally” Henderson. They were married on September 5, 1955, in Houlton. Floyd worked as a mechanic for many local businesses. He also worked for the M.D.O.T. and retired in 2001. In addition to his parents, Floyd was predeceased by his wife Sally, a son Floyd “Jay” Reed Jr., four brothers, his twin Lloyd, Willis, Dale Jr., Willard, sisters, Arnetta Smith, Marg Denman, and Marie Denman. He is survived by two daughters, Marsha Reed, Ann Merritt and her friend Kenneth Reeves, a brother Daniel Reed and his wife Carol of Huntington, IN, a sister Sue Jester and her husband Jeral of Lowell, IN, two grandsons, Ryan Merritt and his wife Melissa, Travis Merritt, five great grandsons, Noah, Brodie, Gaberial, Ethan, and Reed, and a granddaughter Emma.
