PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — The area has a new eye care specialist with the return of an Easton native.

Bradley Trask, OD, has joined the team of opticians and surgeons covering mid to northern Maine at Vision Care of Maine’s Presque Isle and Houlton offices, said Don Cushing, Vision Care of Maine CEO.

Trask, who was raised in Easton, graduated in May from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences’ University College of Optometry, and has moved back to The County to provide eye care to area residents.

“People in The County have something special that small towns offer. You can walk down the street and strangers say hello,” said Trask. “I’ve always liked that and couldn’t wait to move back.”

When in the fourth grade, he said, he had his eyes literally opened to the value of eye care when he got his first pair of glasses and the world changed before him. It was very personal and he knew then that he wanted to bring that same feeling to people as an eye doctor.

Now with the full support of all the opticians, surgeons and eye care specialists within Vision Care of Maine’s group, he is looking forward to providing management of glaucoma, macular degeneration, and other ocular diseases, primary care, postoperative care and contact lenses.

Trask is now receiving new patients. For more information, call the local office at (207) 764-7612.
