Madigan Health Care Services promotes Phillips to director of nursing

HOULTON, Maine — Madigan Health Care Services announced Dec. 28 the promotion of Tiffany Phillips RN BSN to the position of director of nursing at the Madigan Estates Long Term/Skilled Care Facility. 

Phillips will transition into the position held by Carol Swallow RN BSN for the last 37 years. Swallow will maintain a leadership role as the assistant director of nursing.

Phillips began her career as registered nurse in the Madigan Home Health Care Department in 2008 and was promoted to home health aide supervisor in 2014.

“Tiffany brings a high level of nursing dedication and commitment to our residents, their families, and our staff,” said Jim Brown, administrator at Madigan Health Care Services.

Both of these nurses started with Madigan as CNAs and continued their nursing education while working summers and holiday breaks.

“We are excited about the transition, it will be a great opportunity for both staff members,” Brown added. “We are lucky to have Carol’s expertise and experience to assist Tiffany”
