LITTLETON, Maine — Firefighters from Littleton and Houlton battled a barn fire in Littleton Monday.
The blaze began just after 1 p.m. Monday at a property owned by Mark Pryor on the Ross Ridge Road.
A dispatcher confirmed Monday afternoon that firefighters from the Littleton and Houlton fire departments were battling a structure fire, but little other information was immediately available.
Janice Hogan of Houlton was driving through the community when she said she saw smoke pouring out of what she believed was a barn.
“I do not know who owns the property or if any animals are inside,” she said. “I just know that a lot of smoke was visible.”
