Senior citizens choose leaders

At the Jan. 15 meeting, the Mapleton-Chapman-Castle Hill Seniors Club elected Mary Desy and Caroline Ballerstein as co-presidents for the group’s 2017-18 year.

The group also elected Judy Kennard, secretary, and Grenda Stephenson, treasurer.

The next meeting will be Monday, Feb. 5, at 11:30 a.m.  It will be a regular potluck luncheon at the Mapleton United Methodist Church.

All seniors in the tri-town area are invited to participate in the regular luncheons, which are scheduled for the first and third Mondays of each month through June 2018.

For more information regarding the senior meetings, contact any of the newly elected officers.

First Friday Lunch

The Mapleton United Methodist Church will hold its regular First Friday Luncheon on Feb. 2, 2018, at 11:30 a.m.  The public is invited to attend.

If you have missed these luncheons, please plan to attend. This luncheon will be the midwinter luncheon and will be an excellent time to meet friends and neighbors whom you may not have seen this winter.

There is no charge for the lunch but donations are accepted.

Last Reminder

Today is the last day you can register your dog at the Mapleton Town Office and obtain a 2018 dog tag without incurring a $25 late fee.   Owners of all dogs registered after today must pay the late fee.
