The Caribou junior varsity girls’ basketball team takes an 11-6 record into Saturday’s home game against John Bapst.
Coach Marc Weeks’ team has won four of five during a recent stretch of games. On Jan. 15, Caribou picked up a 40-25 win over Orono behind Kim Susi’s 11 points and six each by Ashley Violette and Alexis Bruso. Weeks said Bruso also starred on defense.
The Vikings topped Orono on Jan. 20, 43-24, with Brianna Reece scoring 10 points and Abi Robbins and Kim Susi each tossing in nine.
On Jan. 26, Caribou stopped Mount Desert Island, 37-31, with Sage Dubay and Emily Collins pacing the offense with 11 points each. The following day, all 13 Viking players scored in a 51-21 triumph over Ellsworth. Dubay and Susi had 13 and 11, respectively, for Caribou.
Caribou fell to Houlton Jan. 30, 60-47. Dubay poured in 18 points and Alya Theriault netted 10 for the winners.
