LIMESTONE, Maine – Raymond J. Beaulieu, 75, husband of Marilyn F. (Johnsen) Beaulieu, passed away peacefully on Friday morning, February 16, 2018, at his Limestone home. He was born on August 28, 1942, in Limestone, the son of Lazare J. and Lucy (Johndro) Beaulieu.
He was a graduate of the Limestone High School, Class of 1963 and was married to Marilyn Johnsen on October 25, 1969. A lifelong resident of Limestone, Raymond was a communicant of the Parish of the Precious Blood, St. Louis Catholic Church, and the current president of the Limestone-Caswell Historical Society. He was a potato farmer for most of his life, and enjoyed collecting and restoring antique tractors. He also enjoyed woodcarving, woodworking, square dancing and spending time with his family.
He was predeceased by parents, and is survived by his wife of forty-seven years, Marilyn of Limestone; three sons, Steven P. Beaulieu and his wife, Kathie, David J. Beaulieu, all of Limestone, and Timothy R. Beaulieu and his wife, Carrie, of Hollis; three brothers, Florent Beaulieu and his companion, Carolyn Withem, Peter Beaulieu and his wife, Jeri, and Paul Beaulieu and his wife, Doreen, all of Limestone; four sisters, Beatrice Beaulieu of Alamogordo, NM, Frances Puzzo and her husband, Sal, of Rocky Hill, CT, Velma Labbe of Limestone, and Patricia Beaulieu and her companion, Jim Gordon, of Yarmouth; six grandchildren, Sarah, Jacob, Evan, and Lundyn Beaulieu, all of Limestone, Charlotte and Benjamin Beaulieu, both of Hollis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Wednesday, February 21, 2018, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield. A private memorial service will be held for the family with Fr. David Cote officiating. Spring interment will take place at the St. Louis Catholic Cemetery, Limestone. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute in memory of Mr. Beaulieu to the Limestone-Caswell Historical Society, 275 Grand Falls Road, Limestone, Maine 04750.
