Golden announces Presque Isle town hall event

PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Military veteran Jared Golden, Democratic candidate for Maine’s 2nd Congressional District, announced a town hall event to be held in Presque Isle on Saturday, June 2.

“The people of Maine’s Second Congressional District deserve a Representative in Congress who is available, accessible, and who will speak with them openly and honestly,” said Assistant House Majority Leader Jared Golden, Democratic candidate for Maine’s 2nd District. “I am committed to holding town halls across the second district, and am looking forward to being in Presque Isle on June 2.”

Golden’s campaign has been endorsed by local State Representatives Dave McCrea of Fort Fairfield, Danny Martin of Sinclair and John Martin of Eagle Lake as well as State Senator Mike Carpenter of Aroostook and Northern Penobscot counties.

The event will be held at the University of Maine at Presque Isle, Allagash Room in Central Campus Center, 181 Main Street, Presque Isle, Maine. Doors open at 2:00 PM and the event starts at 2:30 PM. The town hall is free and open to the public.
